August is quickly drawing to a close, which means that two new episodes of Painting Tabled are on their way to you, dear listener. Jen and I have decided to establish a permanent release schedule of the 6th and 20th of each month. We will continue doing our best to bring you high quality, informative, and humorous episodes. Thank you to all who have given our show a listen and stuck with us through the first month! If you have not done so already, please sign up on our forum and share your lovely insights and opinions with the Painting Tabled community. Stay tuned for the fourth episode, which will mark the beginning of our first listener contest. Til then, keep painting!
The third episode is now available for streaming and download. We're proud to say that this is our finest episode yet in terms of sound quality. So please give it a listen and let us know what you think. Thank you! The Painting Tabled studio (aka our house) has been bustling with activity the past week. Our good friend and soon-to-be guest on the show, Mike, has hooked us up with new sound equipment which has enabled us to produce higher quality episodes. The first of which is set to be released on this coming Saturday. The third show is not only a step-up in sound quality, but is bursting with content. We'll discuss the results of the doubles tournament and then head into the main topic: improving your army's appearance. We cover everything from basic painting techniques, to basing your models, to building an elaborate display board to showcase your army. We've also seen a steady increase in traffic on the website as the word is being spread through forums, other podcasts, and iTunes reviews. We really appreciate everyone who has given the podcast a try and even recommended to fellow hobbyists! On that note, I'll leave you with a picture of my Vampire Counts Battle Standard Bearer to get you excited for the next episode. Enjoy! The doubles tournament which we discuss in the first episode took place yesterday. We had an excellent turnout with 14 teams, and had three fantastic games. Look forward to our discussion of how we fared in the tournament in Episode 3. Until then, we'll leave you with a few pictures from the event. We're pleased to let you know that the second episode of Painting Tabled is know available on our website and iTunes. Episode 2 represents our continued attempt at improving the sound quality of the show. It also includes our first guests to help us get some painting done and discuss the main topic. We've already received some great feedback from listeners and would like this trend to continue. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions please communicate them to us on the website or in the form of an iTunes review. Until next time, keep painting! |
